Radio Systems and Test Intern

Role Summary

Internship in the Connectivity and Sensors business group supporting radio systems test, characterization, and automated test development for SoC products. Projects will focus on test software, test hardware support, measurement, and data analysis to verify product compliance and performance.

Experience Level

Entry-level intern position for current college students (no prior professional experience required).

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop automated test software (Python, C, LabVIEW) to control test equipment and SoCs and execute test sequences.
  • Support design and development of test hardware (PCB support, sourcing, assembly tasks).
  • Evaluate and down-select test equipment and perform RF/analog/digital measurements.
  • Perform characterization testing and data analysis to produce compliance information and reports.
  • Use spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, and digital pattern generators for measurements.
  • Create tools for data visualization, automation, lab efficiency tracking, and manufacturing metrics.

Requirements

Minimum technical skills and attributes:

  • Analog, RF, and digital design coursework or hands-on experience.
  • Experience with RF measurement equipment: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, digital pattern generators.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools such as ADS, HFSS, Altium, Allegro, and MATLAB.
  • Scripting/programming experience (Python, C, Bash, VB, or other object-oriented languages).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication, organization, and self-starting abilities.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program, preferably in Electrical Engineering. Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
