Design, develop, and deliver ultra high-performance electronic products and own hardware design from schematic through production and sustaining. Work in small cross-disciplinary teams and coordinate with partner engineering groups on joint development programs.

Experience Level

Mid-level engineer focused on experienced contributors; see Education Requirements for formal experience expectations.

Responsibilities

The hardware engineer will be responsible for:

  • Full lifecycle hardware design: BOM creation, schematic and PCB design, prototype development, validation, and production transfer.
  • Provide technical leadership to small design teams and collaborate with ASIC, signal, mechanical, thermal, diagnostic, packaging, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Perform board-level verification and validation using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and precision test equipment.
  • Manage power distribution and thermal design for high-power PCBs (1kW+ footprints).
  • Design and validate high-speed/high-density interfaces (SerDes rates 112G–224G).
  • Support customer trials, investigate field issues, and sustain production.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups including sales, purchasing, compliance, and manufacturing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and demonstrated practical experience:

  • Experience with large high-power SoC designs and advanced packaging technologies (2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memory).
  • Proficiency with precision scopes, protocol analyzers, and validation tools.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, thermal management, and PCB design for high-power systems.
  • Experience with high-speed signaling and SerDes technologies (112G–224G).
  • Demonstrated lifecycle ownership of complex products from development through sustained production.
