Role Summary
Rambus is hiring Test Engineers to join the Operations team in San Jose to develop and validate semiconductor products across prototype, NPI and high-volume manufacturing. The role focuses on test strategy, ATE hardware design, yield and test-time optimization, and cross-functional problem solving.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing test strategies, supporting manufacturing bring-up, and improving test efficiency and coverage.
- Define test plans and collaborate with design to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Design ATE hardware for NPI support (load boards, probe cards, interfaces).
- Support full product life cycle: design validation, prototypes, high-volume manufacturing bring-up, and RMA/sustaining support.
- Optimize yield, reduce test time, and manage multi-site test configurations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.

Must-have:
- Experience with test coverage and DFT methodologies (Scan/ATPG/JTAG/BIST).
- Practical, in-depth experience with Advantest V93k test systems.
- Experience with OSATs (local and offshore) and manufacturing test flows.
- Familiarity with Smartest, Red Hat, and source control tools such as GIT or SVN.
- Ability to independently learn, troubleshoot, and collaborate across functions.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with DDR and other high-speed digital products.
- Hands-on experience optimizing multi-site configurations and test time for high-volume production.
Education Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
