Design, develop, and deliver control software and firmware for ultra high-performance electronic products. Lead or provide technical direction for small, cross-functional teams and own the product lifecycle from design through production support.

Responsibilities

The role requires hands-on development and ownership across hardware-near software layers and collaboration with internal and external partners.

• Design, implement, and verify control software, firmware, microcode, drivers, and higher-level control applications.
• Lead technical efforts for small teams; mentor engineers and coordinate cross-discipline work.
• Bring up system software, develop diagnostics, and support runtime control environments.
• Perform debugging, unit and system-level testing, and root-cause analysis using appropriate tools.
• Own product lifecycle tasks: prototype support, customer trials, field issue resolution, and sustaining engineering.
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams and cross-functional groups (Sales, Manufacturing, Support, Compliance, etc.).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience; one or two desirable qualifications noted separately.

• Must-have: Proven experience developing embedded system software for large-scale, multi-processor product architectures.
• Must-have: Deep understanding of complete system software: bring-up, diagnostics, runtime control, OS integration, and support applications.
• Must-have: Strong debugging and testing skills, including use of debugging tools and system-level test methodologies.
• Must-have: Demonstrated lifecycle product ownership of complex products from inception to volume production.
• Must-have: Experience working with cross-functional support groups (e.g., Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance).
• Nice-to-have: Small team lead experience or proven technical mentorship.
