R&D Engineer Intern — Digital Twin & Reduced Order Model Team (6 months)

Role Summary

Short-term internship within the R&D team focused on reduced-order modeling (ROM) and digital-twin workflows. The intern will develop, optimize, and implement ROM algorithms to improve simulation performance and accuracy.

The role involves algorithm development, software implementation in C++ and Python, testing and documentation, and close collaboration with R&D engineers.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Suitable for current students or recent graduates; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include algorithm and software development for ROM workflows and contributing to method optimization.

• Develop and implement analytical frameworks for modern ROM workflows.
• Re-architect and optimize the Genetic Aggregation Response Surface (GARS) method.
• Design, implement, test, and document ROM-related algorithms in C++ and Python.
• Integrate algorithms into existing codebases and run validation tests.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to align methods with team objectives and technical requirements.

• Strong understanding of numerical methods and scientific computing.
