Work on ASIC/IC design using Broadcom's CMOS cell-based ASIC technologies. Responsible for design and implementation across RTL analysis, synthesis, timing closure, simulation, test insertion, physical implementation, and post-prototype support. Projects include 28nm and 16FF process-node designs.

Responsibilities

The role involves end-to-end ASIC design and implementation. Key responsibilities include:

• Perform RTL analysis, synthesis, design optimization, and full-chip STA with constraint cleanup.
• Implement physical design tasks: floorplanning, placement, design closure, and DRC/LVS checks.
• Run timing verification, simulation, and test-vector generation; support DFT/test insertion.
• Support tapeout activities and post-prototype test and debug for 28nm/16FF designs.
• Execute block-level and top-level implementation tasks independently.
• Develop and maintain automation and scripts to support design flows (Perl/Tcl).

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: Solid VLSI background and strong understanding of the ASIC design flow.
• Must-have: Ability to handle block implementation and top-level tasks independently.
• Must-have: Tapeout experience on 28nm and 16FF (or similar) process nodes.
• Must-have: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must-have: Proficiency with scripting (Perl and Tcl).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with DFT insertion, power/IV analysis, and DRC/LVS verification.
