Job Title
R&D Engineer IC Design 5
Role Summary
Work on ASIC system-level verification for high-performance network switch ASICs and FPGAs. Develop verification environments, implement tests, and drive verification closure while collaborating with architects, design engineers, and verification teams.
Hands-on role covering testbench architecture, simulation, and full verification cycles leading to tape-out and production readiness.
Experience Level
Senior β 8+ years of ASIC design/verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement complex verification environments and testbenches (UVM/SystemVerilog).
- Create comprehensive verification plans and test suites for ASIC/FPGA designs.
- Execute simulations, debug failures, and drive issues to closure across RTL, testbench, and environment layers.
- Collaborate with system architects and design teams to validate functionality and performance targets.
- Participate in tape-out activities and support bring-up through production verification phases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and background:
- Strong mastery of Verilog for simulation and RTL verification.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
- Practical experience with modern ASIC verification flows (UVM/SystemVerilog).
- Familiarity with ASIC design flows targeting deep sub-micron technologies.
- Proven track record of multiple ASIC tape-outs, including at least one project through full production.
- Fluent technical and business English for documentation and cross-functional communication.
- Nice-to-have: experience with networking protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, routing/switching).
Education Requirements
