Role Summary
Engineer responsible for front-end design and verification of ASIC cores, including architecture definition, RTL design, synthesis, and verification using simulation and formal methods. Works with physical implementation and timing teams to achieve timing closure.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Key daily responsibilities include:
- Define architecture and implement logic blocks from system requirements.
- Develop synthesis flows and constraints for design blocks.
- Perform RTL and gate-level simulation and debug using Verilog simulation tools.
- Run formal verification flows and debug with formal tools.
- Analyze timing from physical implementation (PrimeTime) and drive timing closure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate blocks and resolve design issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven ASIC front-end design and implementation experience (RTL, synthesis, verification).
- Proficiency in scripting (TCL, Perl).
- Experience with synthesis tools (Synopsys Design Compiler/DC or Cadence RTL Compiler).
- Timing analysis experience with Synopsys PrimeTime and familiarity with liberty (LIB) models.
- Experience with formal verification tools such as Synopsys Formality or Cadence Conformal.
- Familiarity with lint tools (e.g., Spyglass) and power analysis of RTL/gate-level netlists.
- Knowledge of DFT and scan methodology.
- Version control experience (SVN or Git).
