Role Summary

Responsible for front-end ASIC core design and verification including architecture definition, RTL design, synthesis, and verification using simulation and formal methods. Works within a chip design team and coordinates with implementation, timing, and test teams to deliver production-quality RTL for high-frequency designs.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 6+ years (Master's) or 8+ years (Bachelor's) of relevant ASIC/RTL design and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include translating system requirements into RTL, ensuring timing closure, and verifying design correctness.

• Define architecture and design logic blocks from system requirements.
• Develop RTL, perform synthesis and create constraints for design blocks.
• Perform functional verification using simulation and formal verification tools.
• Analyze timing from physical implementation and drive timing closure.
• Simulate and debug designs with Verilog simulation environments.

Requirements

Must-have skills and tools for immediate contribution; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Strong experience in front-end ASIC/SoC design and RTL development (Verilog).
• Hands-on synthesis experience with Synopsys Design Compiler/DC or Cadence RTL Compiler and constraint development.
• Timing analysis experience using PrimeTime and familiarity with liberty (LIB) timing models.
• Experience with formal verification tools (e.g., Synopsys Formality, Cadence Conformal) and static lint tools (e.g., Spyglass).
• Scripting proficiency (TCL, Perl) for flows and automation.
• Knowledge of DFT and scan methodology and power analysis at RTL/gate level.
• Version control experience (Git, SVN).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across verification, implementation, and system teams.
• Nice-to-have: specific tool experience, advanced power/performance optimization, or prior high-frequency design projects.

Education Requirements
