Quantum PDK Design Manual Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain process design kits (PDKs) and design manuals for quantum-related semiconductor processes. Serve as a technical contributor across cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems, improve processes and methodologies, and support project execution.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical leadership, PDK and design manual development, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Solve complex, novel, and non-recurring engineering problems related to PDKs and design enablement.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve PDKs, design manuals, processes, and methodologies.
  • Contribute as a technical subject-matter expert and provide guidance on engineering decisions.
  • Plan and execute projects and workstreams; participate in and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and train team members on technical skills, tools, and best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to intellectual property efforts such as invention disclosures and patent submissions.
  • Support preparation of technical publications, conference presentations, and reports.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and engage with suppliers and external partners for evaluations and pilots.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is listed as the standard baseline.
