Quality & Reliability Engineer (NAND)
Role Summary
The Quality & Reliability Engineer (NAND) will perform electrical failure analysis and data analysis on next-generation 3D NAND devices to support product quality and reliability in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role develops and maintains test methodologies and outgoing monitor plans, manages deviations through risk assessments, and provides data-driven product disposition recommendations.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career. Fresh graduates are welcome; prior semiconductor test, QA, or product engineering experience is beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include test development, failure analysis, and sustaining reliability in HVM.
- Develop, validate, and maintain test methodologies and coverage to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Create release documentation and set up outgoing monitoring plans for products entering HVM.
- Perform product failure analysis on rejects to identify failure modes and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Manage deviations with structured risk assessments and support product disposition decisions.
- Investigate post-qualification quality and reliability issues and support material disposition.
- Coordinate with R&D and Product Engineering to assess new reliability issues and determine test strategies and customer impact.
- Write and debug test programs; work with automated test equipment and test systems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies, followed by preferred attributes.
- Experience in test engineering and semiconductor manufacturing or related practical experience.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux environments and strong programming skills (C, C++, Perl, Python, or tester languages).
- Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and experience writing/debugging test programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Good organization skills and ability to multitask and handle pressure in a professional manner.
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for analysis and operational tasks.
- (Nice-to-have) Understanding of semiconductor device physics and prior failure analysis experience.
- (Nice-to-have) Prior experience as a QA or product engineer in the semiconductor industry.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are explicitly invited to apply.
