Quality Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead quality improvement initiatives for new product introduction (NPI) and volume ramp to deliver on-time, high-quality semiconductor products. Collaborate with NPI execution teams, R&D, quality, PMO, and operations to identify root causes, define corrective and preventive actions, and improve product readiness for customers.
Position is based in Chandler, AZ and supports automotive and commercial product lines.
Experience Level
Senior — 10+ years of experience in product development or quality engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include driving NPI quality, analyzing field returns, and leading cross-functional problem solving.
- Define, track, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives for NPI and volume ramp.
- Analyze customer returns and DPPM metrics; report trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts (8D, root-cause analysis) and coordinate cross-functional responses to critical issues.
- Implement customer-specific quality requirements and ensure audit readiness and process compliance.
- Manage supplier excursions and drive resolution of customer escalations.
- Collaborate with external customer QA and factory quality teams to ensure alignment and timely support.
- Represent the product group on external standards committees and ensure compliance with automotive and commercial quality standards.

- Must have: 10+ years in product development or quality engineering in semiconductor environments.
- Must have: Solid understanding of NPI processes, semiconductor supply chain, and production environments.
- Must have: Proficiency in statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 3x5 Why); data-driven decision making.
- Must have: Experience managing supplier issues and driving resolution of customer escalations.
- Must have: Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Nice to have: Direct experience with automotive quality standards and participation in external standards committees.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
