Quality Ops Engineer

Role Summary

Join Broadcom's Global Operations Quality Assurance (REL) team in Fort Collins to perform reliability qualifications for new silicon and packaging products. The role is hands-on and focuses on setup, verification and operation of HTOL reliability stressing and coordination between Broadcom business units, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Key duties include test setup, execution, coordination, and technical support for biased-stress reliability projects.

  • Set up, verify, and operate HTOL ovens and associated test systems.
  • Work with Broadcom business units to develop biased-stress plans for projects.
  • Manage project schedules for internal and external biased-stress work; plan, schedule, and track progress.
  • Track and report ongoing project status to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure required inputs and deliverables.
  • Review hardware schematics and PCB layouts; identify and recommend corrections.
  • Review thermal head simulations and validate thermal setups.
  • Convert HTOL vectors to run on in-house MCC HTOL systems and execute test vectors.
  • Provide technical engineering support and debugging for board, socket, and vector issues.
  • Complete initial biased-stress certifications and ensure projects meet qualification expectations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution; additional desired skills listed below.

  • Hands-on experience operating reliability stressing equipment and lab processes (HTOL execution and support).
  • Experience with hardware debug: bench test setup, measurement, and fault isolation for boards and sockets.
  • Experience converting and running test vectors on in-house test systems (MCC HTOL systems preferred).
  • Project management skills: planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with internal business units and external vendors; clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to schematic and PCB layout details; ability to spot and correct design errors.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with reliability stress types (HTOL, HTS, TC, THB, uHAST, bHAST); experience with AHER MAX, InCal, bHAST equipment; background in ATE test engineering or IC/hardware design.
  • Operational: Ability to work independently in a lab team, participate in virtual meetings, and provide occasional shift flexibility for critical support.

Education Requirements

BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) or a related field is required, plus 8+ years of related experience.
