Quality Lab Engineer

Role Summary

The Quality Lab Engineer designs, implements and maintains product reliability test methods, test systems and related equipment to support product qualification for power-semiconductor devices. The role collaborates with product qualification engineering, R&D and suppliers and owns technical work packages and project deliverables.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include designing test setups, developing electronics for test systems, executing reliability testing and maintaining test equipment and documentation.

• Define and develop reliability test systems and associated electronic boards.
• Set up test environments and circuitry for lifetime stress tests (e.g., DHTOL) and other qualification tests.
• Perform electrical and reliability testing, analyze results, and optimize test methods.
• Lead technical alignment with suppliers; manage risks, schedule, quality and cost for work packages or projects.
• Ensure test equipment meets standards, health & safety requirements, and remains user-friendly and operational.
• Prepare and maintain documentation: working instructions, manuals and calibration records.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, FMEA, calibrations and related quality support tasks.

Requirements

• Must-have: Practical understanding of measurement parameters and test equipment for characterization and reliability testing of SiC and GaN devices.
• Must-have: Understanding of analogue and digital circuit design.
• Must-have: Programming skills in C, Python, LabVIEW or similar for test automation and data acquisition.
• Must-have: Knowledge of industry quality standards such as AEC-Q101.
• Must-have: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, goal-oriented mindset and teamwork.
• Must-have: Fluent German and English (spoken and written); proficient with standard MS Office tools.
• Preferred: Experience with reliability test methods/setups such as HTRB, H3TRB, HTGB, DHTOL.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline as stated in the posting.
