Quality Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Work on lab evaluation and bench verification of TI analog products to reproduce and analyze customer-reported failures. The role supports quality investigations across analog power and analog signal-chain devices and maintains test hardware and EVM assets.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for students; suitable for enrolled Bachelor’s or Master’s students, final-year students preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform hands-on bench validation and document results. Key tasks include:
- Analyze datasheets and EVM user guides to identify device-specific functions and parameters.
- Design and build lab bench setups to reproduce customer-reported issues across analog products.
- Measure functional parameters using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators and temperature chambers.
- Record and maintain standardized bench verification reports and test data.
- Build and maintain an EVM (evaluation module) database and manage related logistics and inventory.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred practical skills and internship logistics.
- Must-have: Minimum internship duration: 6 months (extension to 8 months preferred).
- Must-have: Working knowledge of English (spoken and written).
- Must-have: Curiosity and ability to investigate and analyze problems systematically.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with lab equipment (power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Nice-to-have: Python scripting and/or LabVIEW experience.
- Nice-to-have: Understanding of circuit schematics, PCBs and passive components.
- Nice-to-have: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Education Requirements
Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field is expected; final-year students are preferred. (Job metadata also lists a general 'High School Graduate' degree level.)
