Quality Assurance Software Developer Engineer in Test — GeForce GPU

Role Summary

Join the GeForce GPU quality team to design and implement automated tests and developer tools that find defects early and improve product delivery. The role focuses on driver and SDK testing across Windows and Linux, building data-driven tooling and using AI techniques to accelerate test creation and execution.

Responsibilities

Deliver automated tests, tools, and reports that improve software quality and accelerate development.

  • Design and implement automated tests (including AI-assisted approaches) for device drivers and SDKs on Windows and Linux.
  • Develop end-to-end automated tests for NVIDIA device drivers and SDKs on Windows; execute manual and automated tests and report defects.
  • Measure code coverage, analyze gaps, and drive coverage improvements.
  • Develop applications and tools that provide data-driven insights for development and test workflows.
  • Build utilities, frameworks, and automation in Python, C, and C++ to optimize GPU testing workflows.
  • Write maintainable, reliable code; debug to identify root causes and perform peer code reviews focused on performance and correctness.
  • Estimate and prioritize tasks to produce realistic delivery schedules and resolve technical/process issues.
  • Execute compatibility testing across products and interfaces and produce concise progress reports for leadership.

Requirements

Core technical skills and hands-on experience required for immediate contribution.

Must-have
  • 5+ years programming experience in Python, C, and/or C++ with Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
  • Proven experience writing Python scripts and applications using standard libraries and packaging (dictionaries, tuples, RegEx, pip).
  • Experience using AI development tools to assist test plan creation, test-case development, and automation.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and conducting performance/load testing.
  • Experience with databases and storage technologies such as SQL and Elasticsearch.
  • Solid OS fundamentals for Windows and Linux, plus PC hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using debugging tools such as WinDBG and gdb.
  • Working knowledge of GPU devices and technologies (examples: DLSS, Frame Generation, Reflex, CUDA, G-Sync).
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple development teams and improve test code coverage.
Nice-to-have
  • Prior project experience building ML/DL applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and solid problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics engineering is stated as preferred, or equivalent practical experience; strong academics noted. Equivalent experience acceptable.
