QE PCT Staff / Senior Engineer, OMT

Role Summary

Partner with process, equipment, and cross-functional engineers to support process startup, development, optimization, and contamination control. Work within the OMT Process Contamination Team (PCT) to develop FOUP AMC studies, Nβ‚‚ purge strategies, and FOUP environmental controls that protect product quality and manufacturing yield.

Deliver technical solutions for monitoring, automation, and contamination defense to support advanced node ramps and manufacturing readiness.

Experience Level

Senior (Staff or Senior Engineer). Experience guidance: Staff-level typically ~5+ years; Senior-level typically ~3+ years. See Education Requirements for degree expectations.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include contamination control strategy, monitoring, and cross-functional support.

  • Lead FOUP AMC control, Nβ‚‚ purge strategies, and FOUP environmental regulation to reduce contamination risk and protect product quality.
  • Develop and complete end-to-end contamination control strategies across FOUP/FOSB, equipment, and fab environments.
  • Implement monitoring, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve process quality, manufacturing stability, and yield.
  • Support contamination-related investigations, risk assessments, and corrective/preventive actions across fabs.
  • Collaborate with process integration, equipment, AMHS, Area, PIE, ME, and global groups to support advanced node ramp and manufacturing readiness.
  • Define contamination control standards, procedures, and guidelines; benchmark against industry practices.
  • Apply simulation and flow/CFD analysis to evaluate contamination control and environmental interventions.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and data/AI solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and problem solving within scope.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Strong data and analytics skills with hands-on experience in Python and SQL; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Must-have: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with simulation tools is valued.
  • Must-have: Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Must-have: Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Preferred: Semiconductor experience in FOUP/contamination control/AMC and yield improvement.
  • Preferred: Experience with CPIE, AMHS, and other cross-functional manufacturing teams; experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with JMP; experience in CFD simulation for flow field analysis; applied data/AI solutions or AI tool experience is a strong plus.

Education Requirements

Master's degree required. Preferred fields: Quality Engineering, Process Integration, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, or related technical disciplines. Posting specifies Master's + minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Staff Engineer, and Master's + minimum 3 years for Senior Engineer.
