Join Siemens Digital Industries Software in Cairo to perform quality assurance and functional verification for digital/RTL design tools and related products. The role works with R&D teams to design and execute tests, automate verification flows, and measure product performance across releases.

Responsibilities

The QA/Test Engineer is responsible for designing and executing functional verification activities across the release lifecycle, improving test automation, and reporting verification results.

• Master and apply functional verification technologies and methodologies.
• Write, maintain, and execute product test and quality plans.
• Create, execute, and summarize test cases and maintain test status.
• Participate in testing activities throughout the release lifecycle.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks to reduce manual testing and shorten turnaround time.
• Integrate customer use cases and customer designs into test environments and support validation.
• Perform product benchmarking and performance measurements between releases.
• Report, validate, and triage defects; identify root causes and determine criticality for R&D teams.
• Use code-coverage techniques and tools to evaluate and quantify test coverage.

Requirements

Key technical and interpersonal requirements for successful performance in this role.

• Very good knowledge of digital/RTL design fundamentals.
• Solid knowledge of hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and performing defect triage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present and share technical information.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Siemens simulation tools and functional verification flows.
• Nice-to-have: Experience building or using test automation frameworks.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (as stated in the source).
