Role Summary
Join the Calibre Semi-Manufacturing QA Team to validate and improve software quality for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools. The role focuses on defining quality expectations, executing verification and validation activities, and ensuring releases meet customer needs in manufacturing environments.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 0β2 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
Responsibilities
Ensure product quality across the software lifecycle and coordinate with global teams to deliver reliable releases.
- Monitor and enforce quality processes: inspections, code reviews, requirements validation, and code-coverage analysis.
- Define measurable product quality expectations and execute plans to track them.
- Maintain schedule predictability and measure progress against objectives.
- Verify product behavior in customer-representative environments; document reproducible verification and validation activities.
- Test to identify defects, limitations, and boundary conditions.
- Collaborate with customers, Marketing, Customer Support, and R&D to capture requirements and provide feedback on documentation and releases.
- Coordinate with Software Development and Release teams to support high-quality software deliveries.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies; items marked as "nice-to-have" are beneficial but not mandatory.

Must-have: Practical experience with Linux/Unix, version control (e.g., Git, CVS), Bash, Python, Tcl, and defect-tracking systems.
