Role Summary

Join the QuestaSim Quality Assurance team in the IC Verification Solutions division to validate and improve a high-performance simulator used for hardware design verification. The role focuses on writing and executing tests, building automation, and supporting integration of customer designs into internal test environments.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include test design, execution, and automation across the product release lifecycle.

• Develop deep expertise in the QuestaSim simulator and its underlying technologies.
• Create, maintain, and execute product test and quality plans.
• Design, run, and summarize test cases (integration, regression, license, installation, GUI testing).
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts to reduce manual testing.
• Integrate customer designs into internal test environments and reproduce customer issues.
• Collaborate with developers to report, triage, and verify defect fixes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes, with a short list of desirable additions.

• Must-have: Strong understanding of digital and RTL design fundamentals.
• Must-have: Proficiency with Hardware Description Languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Must-have: Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, or Qt).
• Must-have: Familiarity with software quality assurance concepts, testing methodologies, and test automation tools.
• Must-have: Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with UVM, SVA, UPF, SystemC, simulator internals, or high-performance simulation environments.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience designing test automation frameworks or CI-driven test pipelines.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
