PV Intern for Circuit Simulation
Role Summary
Work on quality assurance (QA) and product validation (PV) for SPICE circuit simulators and the Virtuoso Analog Design Environment. Join a PV/QA team responsible for validating simulator features, reproducing customer issues, and verifying fixes.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship).
Responsibilities
Contribute to validation and QA activities for circuit simulators and design-environment integrations.
- Execute PV/QA test plans for Spectre, APS, XPS, SpectreRF, AMS and Virtuoso ADE.
- Reproduce and document customer-reported issues and regression failures.
- Create clear bug reports and track verification status with engineering teams.
- Collaborate with simulation and tool developers to diagnose and verify fixes.
- Maintain test documentation and validation records.
Requirements
Minimum practical skills and behaviors expected.
- Customer IC design experience.
- Strong teamwork and written/verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements
MS degree candidate in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
