Project/Program Design
Role Summary
Drive data-driven coordination and execution for mixed-signal IC development across analog, digital, verification, layout and validation. Partner with Design Controllers, Program Managers and technical leads to build analytics, automation and AI capabilities that scale project management, reporting and lessons-learned processes.
Experience Level
Entry-level β typically 0β3 years of relevant experience; internships and academic project experience are considered.
Responsibilities
Deliver planning, reporting, analytics and automation to support Design Control execution.
- Capture task planning for design and verification per Design Control methodology.
- Aggregate project data, produce analytics and visualizations for weekly status, resource distribution and portfolio health.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, Power Query/DAX models, and Jira-based data pipelines.
- Maintain project metrics and detect deviations using descriptive and predictive analytics.
- Prototype and support AI/GenAI use-cases such as automated executive summaries, anomaly detection and conversational drill-downs.
- Perform Post-Project Analysis to feed lessons-learned and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with PMO, MDP and Jira administrators to standardize the DC data layer across projects.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and professional behaviors expected on day one.
- Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query/M), SQL and Python.
- Experience working with Jira data, Excel/VBA and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS).
- Working knowledge of GenAI/agentic AI concepts and willingness to apply them in an engineering-execution context.
- Strong analytical and algorithmic thinking; able to decompose ambiguous problems, define KPIs and validate assumptions with data.
- Ability to follow policy and procedures for routine issues and propose improvements.
- Effective verbal and written English communication; able to translate analytics into clear executive narratives.
- Cross-cultural awareness and ability to work with globally distributed teams (UK, US, Japan).
- Flexibility for occasional international travel at short notice.
- Beneficial: basic knowledge of analog and/or digital design and exposure to NPI / milestone-driven engineering programs.
Education Requirements
Background in engineering, information systems, data analytics, computer science or a related quantitative discipline. BS or MS (or equivalent practical experience). Beneficial: project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum.
