Job Title
Project Manager β Semiconductor Development & AI-Enabled Execution
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end project management for IC/module/SoC development programs, driving planning, cross-functional coordination, milestone reviews, and execution risk mitigation. The role combines traditional PM responsibilities with focused use of AI and digital tools to improve project visibility and decision support.
This role operates within semiconductor development programs and serves as a PMO AI interface between regional business units and global teams to pilot and scale AI-assisted execution practices.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 5+ years of relevant experience managing R&D or complex engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include program delivery, execution risk management, AI-enabled PM adoption, and cross-team communication.
- Lead end-to-end project management for IC/module/SoC development: planning, cross-functional coordination, dependency and risk management.
- Drive major project gates and milestone reviews and ensure compliance with NPD, APQP, and Functional Safety processes.
- Proactively identify, track, and manage execution-stage risks; detect early risk signals and execution trends.
- Synthesize project data (issues, status updates, changes, review feedback) into clear, structured execution risk narratives for management decisions.
- Apply AI and digital tools to improve project management efficiency and decision support; promote responsible, pragmatic AI use.
- Act as the PMO AI interface between regional and global teams to align use cases, share lessons learned, pilot AI approaches, and support practical rollout.
- Serve as the information hub for project topics across technical leads, cross-functional teams, PMO, and management; communicate complex status and risks in an executive-ready format.
Requirements
Must-have technical and professional requirements; preferred items are listed separately.
- Solid understanding of the semiconductor development lifecycle and engineering fluency across Digital, AMS, DV, Test, and Packaging teams.
- Hands-on experience managing R&D or complex engineering projects; ability to manage uncertainty and drive execution in dynamic environments.
- Practical experience using AI tools for knowledge processing, information synthesis, pattern recognition, and early signal detection; able to use AI as a productivity and decision-support tool.
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to present structured, executive-ready status and risk narratives.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to Functional Safety (FuSa) or APQP-related development.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Jama, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with global or cross-site teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field is stated as required.
