Project Manager (m/f/d) - Semiconductor Industry

Role Summary

Accountable for end-to-end delivery of multi-site R&D and industrialization projects, including studies, cost-reduction initiatives, transfers and complex new product introductions (NPIs). Works cross-functionally across the organization and regularly interfaces with senior management and executive stakeholders.

Experience Level

Mid-level — Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience delivering multiple concurrent, high-value projects.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution and control of projects across functions and sites to meet specifications, quality, schedule and cost targets.

• Define and maintain overall project plan in agreement with stakeholders.
• Manage project implementation to meet scope, quality, timing and cost objectives.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams; provide operational guidance and conflict resolution.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate project risks; maintain contingency scenarios.
• Manage change requests and execute formal change-control processes.
• Define and control project budgets, including CAPEX and product-cost tracking.
• Provide transparent reporting and concise status/approval updates to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement of project-related processes and share learnings across teams.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Minimum 5 years managing and delivering multiple concurrent high-impact projects (project budgets typically >$1M).
• Proven leadership in leading project teams in an intercultural or matrixed environment.
• Strong skills in risk management, change management, resource planning and budget control (including CAPEX and product cost).
• Experience managing cross-functional teams within a matrix organization and engaging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and drive solutions.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and strong German communication skills.
• Good team player with strong communication and reporting skills.
• Nice to have: familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and packaging.

Education Requirements

University degree in an engineering field (preferred: microelectronics or semiconductor physics). PMI certification or equivalent project-management certification is beneficial.
