Job Title

Project Manager - IP Development

Role Summary

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams delivering System IP products (CPU, DMC, Interconnect, MMU, GIC, SoC, GPU, PHY) from conception through final delivery. You will coordinate with Product Managers, Technical Leads and engineering teams to ensure products meet quality, specification, and schedule targets.

This role is based in Austin, TX with a hybrid working pattern. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Manage engineering projects across the development lifecycle and ensure on-time, on-spec delivery.

  • Lead project teams and coordinate across Product Management, Technical Leads and engineering groups.
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules and detailed task breakdowns.
  • Track progress, define and report metrics, and manage uncertainty.
  • Allocate resources, manage budgets and track financials.
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate risks and issues; manage changes and dependencies.
  • Ensure quality and delivery against committed schedules.
  • Occasional travel to collaborate with Arm teams and partners.

Requirements

Must-have technical and project management skills.

  • Knowledge of microelectronics and IP development flow and integration.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with hardware and Soft IP development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative).
  • Ability to build high-level plans into detailed schedules and to generate effective tracking metrics.
  • Proven track record managing engineering projects across the full development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Practical problem-solving and attention to delivery detail.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience driving projects in rapidly changing development environments.
  • Leadership that motivates team members and aligns them to clear project goals.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira and Confluence.

Education Requirements

The posting states a university degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Computer Science is desired but not required; other degrees may be considered with confirmed experience.
