Project Manager

Role Summary

The Project Manager will lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver System IP (examples: interconnect, memory management, DMA, media) from planning through release, working closely with Product Management and Technical Leads to meet schedule, quality and specification targets.

The role focuses on project planning, schedule tracking, resource and budget management, risk and dependency management, and stakeholder communication. Minimal travel is required. Salary range: HUF 21,250,000 - HUF 28,750,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning, executing and closing engineering projects to committed schedules while managing stakeholders and risks.

  • Lead project teams developing System IP (interconnect, memory management, DMA, media) across market segments.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Leads and engineering teams to define scope and specifications.
  • Create and maintain project plans and detailed schedules; track progress and report status.
  • Allocate and manage resources and budgets; coordinate dependencies across teams and partners.
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate risks and issues; implement organisational change where required.
  • Establish metrics to monitor uncertainty and project health.
  • Ensure product deliveries meet quality standards and conform to specifications.

Requirements

Must-have technical and project-management skills; education details are listed separately below.

  • Practical knowledge of microelectronics and IP development flow and integration.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Familiarity with hardware and Soft IP development lifecycles (e.g., waterfall, iterative).
  • Proven ability to build plans from high-level objectives to detailed schedules.
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and define effective metrics for oversight.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira and Confluence.

Nice-to-have:

  • Formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence engineering teams and external partners.
  • Proactive, pragmatic problem-solving approach and strong attention to detail.

Education Requirements

University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent practical experience; other degrees will be considered if supported by confirmed relevant experience.
