Project Engineering Manager — Sr. Staff
Role Summary
Lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-speed SerDes PHY mixed-signal IP from concept through customer delivery. Responsible for project planning, resource allocation, risk and change management, and collaboration with R&D, marketing, sales, and customer support.
Experience Level
Senior-level; requires approximately 8+ years of relevant experience in integrated circuit design, ASIC development, or project engineering management.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, project delivery, and cross-functional coordination.
- Manage end-to-end development and implementation of internal engineering products and services (high-speed SerDes PHY IP).
- Define IP product roadmaps with R&D and Marketing and translate roadmap into project plans and schedules.
- Allocate and secure resources; identify and escalate issues to maintain project momentum and schedules.
- Oversee risk management, change control, and quality practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve team and cross-functional engineering processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Program Management on pre- and post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction and product adoption.
- Provide regular status updates to management and customers to ensure transparency and alignment.
Requirements

- 8+ years leading multidisciplinary project teams delivering complex IC or semiconductor projects.
- Hands-on experience with mixed-signal and digital IC design and verification.
- Proven project management skills, including risk assessment and change management in a semiconductor or high-tech environment.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and mentor team members.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience with SerDes PHY IP product development and customer engagement.
- Experience supporting pre- and post-sales technical activities for IP products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required; advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred. Equivalent practical experience in integrated circuit design or ASIC development may be acceptable.
