Role Summary
The Project Architect leads technical customer engagements for ASIC/SoC post-silicon manufacturing and assembly projects. The role focuses on packaging, production test, qualification, OSAT management, and supply-chain coordination while driving project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires 10+ years of experience in ASIC post-silicon manufacturing and customer-facing project work.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading customer engagements, defining project deliverables, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Lead technical customer engagements for ASIC/SoC manufacturing projects.
- Define project scope, timelines, costs, risks, and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Provide technical leadership on ASIC packaging, production test, qualification, and supply-chain issues.
- Manage relationships with OSATs and oversee NPI and production readiness activities.
- Coordinate with customers, business development, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and support pre-sales activities.
Requirements
Core skills and experience required for success in this role.
- 10+ years' experience in ASIC post-silicon manufacturing and production.
- Expertise in package types: FCBGA, WLCSP, QFN, QFP.
- Experience with advanced packaging platforms: CoWoS, WoW, CoW.
- Knowledge of wafer sort, final test, production test, and qualification flows.
- JEDEC qualification experience, including automotive and space standards.
- Experience working with OSATs, leading NPI, and preparing SOWs.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Education Requirements
MSc or PhD in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is specified.
