Program Manager

Role Summary

Manage and deliver software AI/ML projects for GPU software (ROCm) and supporting documentation efforts. The role drives project plans, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures timely delivery of program artifacts and status reporting.

This position works within Variscale Services & Engineering supporting AMD projects and interfaces with engineering, documentation, and execution teams to resolve risks and dependencies.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” requires approximately 2 years of relevant engineering or program management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead program execution, maintain project artifacts, and facilitate cross-team coordination. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Define, plan, and drive software AI projects and program plans.
  • Create and maintain schedule, resource forecasts, and risk/issues logs.
  • Identify risks and follow up on mitigation or corrective actions.
  • Facilitate cross-development dependencies and communications across teams.
  • Collect, analyze, and publish work-performance data via dashboards and status reports.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for an AI/ML GPU software documentation team, promoting Agile practices and sprint goals.
  • Coordinate with hardware and engineering teams to support verification and reliability testing activities.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for this role.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering role.
  • Experience with hardware verification and functional verification of microprocessors.
  • Familiarity with server systems.
  • Data visualization experience (Power BI) and data analysis (Excel).
  • Experience with SharePoint Power Automate.
  • Reliability hardware testing and inventory management experience.
  • Experience producing and maintaining project schedules, resource forecasts, and risk/issues logs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • No travel required for this role.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, IT Project Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (degree required).
