Job Title

Productization & Validation Engineer (Entry-level)

Role Summary

Join the Productization Engineering team to validate silicon, perform board bring-up, and qualify designs for mass production. The role focuses on functional validation, voltage/frequency margining, stability/aging tests, and debugging to ensure production readiness.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new graduate / 0–2 years); suitable for candidates with internship or project experience in embedded/semiconductor validation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include silicon and board bring-up, functional validation of IP blocks, and supporting mass-production qualification.

  • Silicon bring-up for core blocks (CPU, DRAM controller, CMU, PMU).
  • Functional validation of IPs: CPU, DRAM, PMU, NAND, PCIe, DMA, SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
  • Evaluate LVCC voltage-domain margins by SDK/board version, corner, and chip revision; obtain screen vectors, operating voltages, and frequencies.
  • Debug silicon/board issues and develop workarounds.
  • Board bring-up by revision and sample sorting (ASB, evaluation, high-speed test, GPIO boards).
  • Run stability and aging tests using machines and servers.
  • Collaborate with Solution QA and provide support for validation and qualification activities.
  • Support mass-production yield improvement, define screen criteria, and respond to yield issues.
  • Assess feasibility of software version upgrades for release (margin, function, aging considerations).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience for the role, followed by beneficial skills.

Must-have:

  • Practical experience with programming: C, Python, Bash.
  • Understanding of electronic circuits and computer architecture.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu) and device driver or firmware development.
  • Understanding of high-speed interfaces (DRAM, PCIe, D2D, Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of SoC characterization: Shmoo, LVcc, eye margin, power, temperature.
  • Experience using measurement equipment: oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
