Job Title

Productization & Validation Engineer

Role Summary

This role joins the Productization Engineering team to drive silicon bring-up, IP validation, high-speed interface enabling, and transition to mass production for an AI accelerator. The engineer will work across hardware bring-up, validation, reliability, manufacturability, and customer technical support.

Primary mission: validate and enable main IPs (PCIe, DRAM, Ethernet, etc.), diagnose issues, improve yield and manufacturability, and support customers post-production.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting indicates an experienced engineer but does not specify years of experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include silicon bring-up, IP validation, reliability assurance, and customer support.

  • Bring up first silicon and validate high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DRAM, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Validate functional and characterization aspects of main IP blocks.
  • Evaluate supply voltage behavior (LVCC) and signal eye opening margins.
  • Enable and tune high-speed interfaces for target performance.
  • Debug hardware/firmware issues and develop workarounds.
  • Drive reliability, yield improvement, and manufacturability for mass production.
  • Perform customer technical support and failure analysis.
  • Run feasibility tests for system-level software/firmware version upgrades.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools are listed below; preferred items follow.

  • Must-have: Understanding of Arm architecture, AMBA bus, and computer architecture/programming concepts.
  • Must-have: Proficiency using C, Python, and shell scripting (bash) for test and validation tasks.
  • Must-have: Ability to read PCB schematics and basic electronic circuit knowledge (design rules).
  • Nice-to-have: Linux user skills (Ubuntu) and experience implementing device drivers or firmware.
  • Nice-to-have: Firmware-level IP control or detailed knowledge of IP functions and characteristics.
  • Nice-to-have: Signal and power integrity knowledge (ODT, drive strength, Vref, setup/hold timing margins).
  • Nice-to-have: Prior silicon validation experience for PCIe, Ethernet, UCIe, or DRAM.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
