Primary responsibilities include designing tests, automating validation, and coordinating with engineering teams.

  • Develop analog and mixed-signal circuits to exercise Virtuoso schematic-to-routing workflows and interfaces.
  • Create test methodologies, specifications and detailed test cases.
  • Implement and maintain automated regression suites; monitor test results and report defects.
  • Build scripts and small tools to automate testing tasks (scripting in Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Debug functional and integration issues in tools and flows.
  • Collaborate with global R&D, product engineering, software release teams, and customers to reproduce and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes, plus a few preferred skills.

  • Must-have: Strong understanding of analog circuit design methodologies and solid debugging skills.
  • Must-have: Practical scripting experience (Python, Perl) to develop test automation and tools.
  • Must-have: Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team; strong English communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with AI/ML applied to validation or test automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Cadence SKILL and Unix environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of QA methodologies and test automation best practices.
