Product Validation Engineer

Role Summary

This role defines and executes validation strategies for analog and mixed-signal ICs, including hardware, software and instrumentation. The engineer will build lab test setups, develop automation and perform system-level and parametric characterization to validate device performance.

The position works within an R&D/validation team, collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, ensures traceable test documentation and drives improvements in test quality and efficiency.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires more than 3 years of experience in validation and testing of analog ICs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Create IC validation strategies covering hardware, software and instrumentation.
• Bring up lab setups; design and build bench hardware and PCBs for analog/mixed-signal evaluation.
• Develop and maintain test automation using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand or similar tools.
• Execute system-level and parametric bench tests according to characterization/validation plans and ensure data traceability.
• Debug device and setup issues and drive issues to closure independently.
• Document test procedures and results; archive test data and records.
• Drive improvements in measurement reproducibility, efficiency and test quality.
• Support equipment lifecycle activities (purchase coordination, registration, calibration tracking and maintenance).
• Perform competitor analysis and electrical analysis for application-related customer complaints and requests.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: More than 3 years' experience in validation and test of analog ICs.
• Must-have: Strong fundamentals in electronic circuits and experience with test & measurement equipment.
• Must-have: Experience designing PCBs for analog IC validation and building bench hardware.
• Must-have: Expertise in automation of lab equipment using Python or LabVIEW/TestStand.
• Must-have: Strong time management and ability to work flexibly across international time zones.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with tester platforms such as ETS-88, ETS-364.

Education Requirements

Minimum Master's or PhD degree in electronics engineering or a related field (electrical/electronic engineering, microelectronics). This is stated as a minimum requirement in the source.
