Product Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for defining and executing validation strategies for analog and mixed-signal ICs, building and automating lab test setups, performing system-level and parametric measurements, and driving issue resolution and test quality improvements. Works within the Nexperia R&D team in Seremban and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure device readiness for production.

Experience Level
Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Typically requires more than 3 years of experience in validation and testing of analog ICs.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define IC validation strategy covering hardware, software and instrumentation.
- Bring up lab test systems and design validation hardware and software for analog/mixed-signal ICs.
- Automate test setups using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand or similar tools.
- Perform system-level and parametric bench tests; apply rigorous failure-analysis practices.
- Debug device and setup issues and drive problems to closure independently.
- Document tests and results, maintain traceability, and archive test data and documentation.
- Develop new bench test methods and test hardware; improve measurement efficiency and reproducibility.
- Coordinate equipment lifecycle activities: procurement, registration, calibration tracking, and maintenance.
- Analyze competitor products and investigate electrical aspects of customer complaints and requests.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- More than 3 years' experience in validation and testing of analog ICs (experience level noted above).
- Strong fundamentals in electronic circuits and measurement techniques.
- Practical experience with test and measurement equipment.
- Experience designing PCBs for analog IC validation.
- Experience automating lab equipment using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to coordinate across international time zones.
- Ability to independently debug hardware and test-setup issues and drive corrective actions.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with tester platforms such as ETS-88 or ETS-364.
Education Requirements
Minimum Master's or PhD degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
