Product/Test Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Support the test team on development and qualification of DCDC buck converters. Work on hardware and software test infrastructure, perform device testing, and evaluate AI-based test solutions for automated test equipment (ATE).

This is an internship focused on hands-on validation of next-generation devices and integration of C++ software with test hardware.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level — intended for enrolled students or early-career candidates.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support test development and validation for DCDC buck converters, including performance and reliability testing.
  • Develop and integrate C++ software for test infrastructure and ATE systems.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing AI-based test tools and explore AI-driven approaches for test generation.
  • Understand software–hardware interactions and learn basics of ATE test systems.
  • Present and visualize test results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global technical teams across functions.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills (education details are in the Education Requirements section below):

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of electronic circuits and programming knowledge in C++.
  • Must-have: Good English communication skills (written and spoken) and ability to work in a fast-paced global team.
  • Must-have: Willingness to learn ATE test systems and test infrastructure.
  • Preferred: First experience with AI software development.
  • Preferred: German language skills are appreciated.
  • Other: Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled student in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Information Technology, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a similar technical field. The job info also lists "High School Graduate" as the degree level. No explicit Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD requirement is stated.
