Job Title

Product/Test Engineering Intern

Role Summary

As a Product/Test Engineering Intern you will support development and implementation of strategies for assigned TI product lines, contributing to new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield improvement. You will work with design, test engineering, quality and manufacturing teams and participate across the product lifecycle from definition through qualification and manufacturing.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Internship β€” suitable for current students or recent graduates (typically 0–3 years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include testing, test development and cross-functional product support:

  • Test and troubleshoot product and process issues.
  • Develop production and characterization test specifications.
  • Create and manage product documentation and test procedures.
  • Provide product development support and interface with design, test, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • Design, debug and correlate tester hardware and software.
  • Design interface and measurement circuits to adapt tester capabilities to product requirements.
  • Participate in product qualification, cost optimization and yield-enhancement activities.

Requirements

Minimum non-educational requirements and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Eligible to work in Germany; Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas or work authorization for this position.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience or coursework with bench test equipment (DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters) and semiconductor process concepts.
  • Nice-to-have: Programming experience with LabView, MATLAB, Java, C++ or similar.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, analytical/problem-solving skills, teamwork, initiative and time-management.

Education Requirements

Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Job details also list "Degree Level: High School Graduate" but the stated minimum requirement is enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.)
