Product/Test Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and implement test strategies and test programs to ensure product functionality, reliability, and compliance from prototype through mass production. Support new-product introduction (NPI), drive yield improvement and failure analysis, and collaborate with design, process, quality, and supply-chain teams to resolve production and test issues.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 0–2 years of relevant experience. New graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on test development, production support, and manufacturing yield and quality improvement.

• Develop and implement test strategies and test programs for new and existing products.
• Collect and analyze test data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve yield.
• Support NPI activities and coordinate transitions from prototype to mass production with NPI, process, and quality teams.
• Optimize manufacturing/test processes to reduce cost, cycle time, and hold rates while improving quality.
• Perform failure analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production and test-related issues.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

• 0–2 years in manufacturing, product engineering, or test engineering in electronics or semiconductor environments.
• Hands-on experience with automated test equipment (ATE), test scripting, and debugging.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, yield analysis, and quality control methods (for example SPC, FMEA, 8D).
• Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle processes from prototype to mass production.
• Ability to analyze test data using tools such as Minitab or Excel (mentions of EY, O+ in source).
• Familiarity with electronic devices, circuits, hardware design, programming basics, and common test tools (oscilloscope, multimeter).
• Good English communication skills (listening, speaking, writing).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
