Role Summary

Join Meta's Manufacturing Quality Engineering team to establish manufacturing readiness and quality for advanced AI/ML compute and GPU hardware, from NPI through high-volume production. The role partners with design engineers and global manufacturing partners to ensure reliability, yield, and performance at hyperscale.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing readiness, validation, and continuous improvement for advanced compute and GPU systems.

• Define and own manufacturing metrics (yield, throughput, cycle time, first-pass rate) and reporting cadences across NPI and MP phases.
• Develop and validate manufacturing and test requirements from prototype to mass production.
• Evaluate and improve test coverage, methodologies, and test infrastructure for reliability and performance at scale.
• Lead hardware debugging, root cause analysis, failure analysis and corrective actions (FACA) to resolve systemic issues and meet yield targets.
• Manage technical transition of products from prototype builds to high-volume manufacturing and facilitate cross-functional technical decisions.
• Partner with engineering teams on power optimizations and performance tuning during manufacturing validation.
• Travel internationally to supplier sites as required (up to ~25%) to manage validation and supplier partnerships.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required to perform this role.

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience leading complex hardware products from NPI through high-volume Mass Production (MP).
• Hands-on experience testing and validating compute and GPU systems; working knowledge of hardware architecture.
• Experience in process development, bring-up, and qualification covering Final Assembly, Test, and Packout.
• Experience driving alignment with cross-functional stakeholders through proposals, design reviews, and presentations.
• Experience managing major issue lists and driving FACA and corrective actions to improve yield.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with GPU architectures, high-performance computing systems, or AI/ML infrastructure hardware.
• Background in reliability engineering methodologies, including accelerated life testing and failure mode analysis.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and manufacturing execution systems (MES) and quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Experience managing relationships with international contract manufacturers and data center hardware manufacturing at hyperscale.
• Experience driving solutions for ambiguous problems that require strategy and direction.

Education Requirements

Preferred: advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. The posting does not state a required minimum degree or an explicit "or equivalent experience" clause.
