Product Manager
Efficient ComputerJob Title
Product Manager
Role Summary
Turn product strategy into technical evidence and evaluation experiences that enable customers to adopt Efficient's processor platform. This role sits on a small Product team and owns cross-portfolio evaluation platforms, technical content, and requirements traceability that span silicon and software.
Primary deliverables include datasheets, benchmark reports, evaluation kits, and authoritative product records that connect customer commitments to engineering execution.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, or hardware/software platform businesses.
Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain customer-facing technical evidence and the evaluation product experience.
- Produce and maintain technical content: datasheets, product briefs, application notes, benchmark reports, and developer materials.
- Maintain continuous competitive analysis: product teardowns, benchmark methodology, and system-level comparisons.
- Define product-readiness criteria for evaluation and reference platforms (hardware, software, documentation, examples, known issues, shipment readiness).
- Drive platform lifecycle and revision decisions with Engineering and Operations, balancing readiness, cost, and component availability.
- Partner with Marketing Technologies to build interactive evaluation tools for energy, performance, and system fit.
- Maintain the authoritative product record for engagements: commitments, deliverables, acceptance criteria, decision dates, and scope changes.
- Identify divergence between product requirements and engineering execution and drive issues to explicit decisions.
- Support vertical use-case work by helping build market, customer, competitive, and requirements evidence and rollout supporting technical content.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience to perform the role effectively. Preferred items are listed separately.
- Must-have: 4+ years in semiconductors, embedded systems, or related hardware/software platform businesses in applications engineering, technical marketing, product management, or other customer-facing technical roles.
- Must-have: Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of substantial customer-facing technical content or analysis (identify need, produce work, ship deliverable).
- Must-have: Experience working directly with customer engineering teams and translating technical findings into product, requirements, or content decisions.
- Must-have: Technical depth to read and reason about datasheets and system-level tradeoffs with hardware and software engineers.
- Must-have: Evidence of using tools, automation, or analysis to solve identified problems (benchmark automation, power/performance modeling, test tracking, documentation generation, configuration tools).
- Must-have: Comfortable with breadth, ambiguity, shifting priorities, and good judgment about escalation.
- Must-have: Willingness to travel for customer, partner, and industry engagements.
- Nice-to-have: Experience owning evaluation hardware or platforms, technical/product marketing with engineering depth, semiconductor product management with analytical or automation skills, or experience with microcontrollers, compilers/SDKs, firmware, or AI/ML deployment frameworks.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Notion.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
