Product Management Senior Director - Synopsys ICV Custom Rules Consultant
Role Summary
Senior product-management role responsible for defining and executing Synopsys ICV product strategy for established and advanced process nodes, with emphasis on 3D and chiplet use cases.
The role partners with Technical Sales, R&D, and product teams to specify custom rule requirements, influence product roadmaps, and enable customers to implement ICV-based DRC solutions.
Experience Level
Senior — requires extensive experience (20+ years) in EDA/semiconductor product management and marketing.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include product strategy, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment.
- Define and execute ICV strategies for established process nodes and their integration with advanced nodes in 3D/chiplet systems.
- Collaborate with Technical Sales and customers to develop custom rules and requirements for benchmarking and product adoption.
- Influence product roadmaps to incorporate established-node needs and custom rule support.
- Develop technical collateral and train Technical Sales on customization techniques and differentiated value.
- Coordinate with R&D and product management to ensure roadmap alignment and feasible implementation of DRC/LVS requirements.
- Advise R&D on translating Design Rule Manual intent into efficiently coded ICV design kits.
Requirements
Must-have experience, technical skills, and behavioral traits.
- 20+ years of relevant EDA/semiconductor product management and marketing experience.
- Deep knowledge of the semiconductor ecosystem, including Foundry interactions and EDA PDK development for DRC functions and rules.
- Proven experience working with senior customer management to distinguish customer-specific needs from general market requirements.
- Established relationships within the semiconductor ecosystem across established and advanced process nodes.
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (Product Management, R&D, Sales) without direct authority.
- Strong results orientation, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and/or Device Physics required. PhD or MBA is desired.
