Product Engineering Intern - Digital Signoff Group

Role Summary

Join the Pegasus physical verification team to support development, validation, and deployment of signoff verification solutions (DRC, LVS, Fill, Pattern Matching, advanced manufacturing verification) used by foundries and chip designers.

The intern will work with Product Engineering, R&D, and customers to test flows, reproduce issues, and build automation that improves product quality and qualification of process technologies.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current university students; typically 0–1 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hands-on testing, investigation, and collaboration to ensure product robustness and customer readiness.

  • Assist in testing and validating Pegasus physical verification flows and new product features.
  • Develop and execute verification test cases to ensure product quality and robustness.
  • Analyze verification results, investigate issues, and help reproduce customer-reported problems.
  • Work with Product Engineering and R&D teams to debug and resolve technical issues.
  • Support qualification of new semiconductor process technologies and design rules.
  • Create automation scripts and tools to improve engineering productivity and test coverage.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with global teams across Europe, Asia, and North America on customer and technology initiatives.

Requirements

Required skills and attributes; listed as must-have versus nice-to-have.

  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and teamwork; attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Nice-to-have: Basic programming or scripting experience (Python, Shell, Perl, or similar).
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of semiconductor design, IC layout, or EDA tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
