Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Primary technical contact for enterprise customers evaluating and deploying ChipAgents' agentic-AI platform for RTL development, functional verification, and simulation.
Lead pre-sales benchmarks and POCs, drive production roll-outs and training, and route customer insights to product and R&D teams to shorten time-to-value.

Mid-level; no explicit years of experience listed. Candidates should have practical EDA/verification experience and customer-facing technical experience.
Responsibilities
The Applications Engineer will lead technical engagements from evaluation through production rollout and act as a bridge between customers and product/engineering.
- Lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, benchmarks, and well-scoped POCs that quantify ROI.
- Integrate ChipAgents with RTL design, simulation, and verification workflows (examples: Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Siemens Questa); troubleshoot issues and ensure production readiness.
- Deliver on-site and remote training; create onboarding materials, application notes, reference flows, and best-practice guides.
- Track usage metrics and adoption milestones to drive renewals and expansion.
- Consolidate field feedback into feature requests and bug reports; collaborate with product and engineering on roadmap priorities.
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and user group meetings.

- Must-have: Hands-on experience in RTL design or functional verification; strong command of Verilog/SystemVerilog and verification methodologies such as UVM, lint, and CDC.
- Must-have: Customer-facing experience supporting or selling to enterprise engineering teams; strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Must-have: Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment and to produce technical collateral and onboarding documentation.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI/ML-driven automation in design and verification.
- Nice-to-have: Python, Tcl, or shell scripting; experience with cloud or on-prem compute clusters.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to formal verification or hardware emulation.
Education Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
