Product Engineering Intern
Role Summary
This internship supports Semtech's New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineering team in activities from development through transfer to volume manufacturing. The intern will work with senior engineers on product characterization, test development, data analysis, and documentation to help products meet specifications and manufacturability targets.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level (suitable for an undergraduate engineering student).
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities associated with the role include:
- Learn and follow NPI processes and maintain documentation under senior engineer supervision.
- Support development of product characterization plans for wafer-level and bench testing.
- Collect and analyze device data using ATE and laboratory equipment to verify specifications and manufacturability.
- Assist with test coverage review, limit-setting, guard banding, and efforts to reduce test time and cost.
- Contribute to cross-functional efforts to improve yield, quality, and specification compliance.
- Generate reports and presentations summarizing correlations between process, voltage, temperature and device performance.

Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with at least three years of coursework completed (undergraduate student status required).
