Product Engineering Intern

Role Summary

The Product Engineering Intern supports product test development, yield improvement, and issue resolution within Qorvo’s Product Engineering teams (Advanced Cellular, Connect & Sensor, or High Performance Analog). Projects are assigned based on business needs and supervised by engineering mentors.

The role provides hands-on experience creating production test plans, analyzing test data with statistical methods, and participating in cross-functional problem-solving in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Current college student; no years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain high-volume production test plans in coordination with Design, Test, Application, and Quality engineering.
  • Analyze test data using statistical techniques (time-series, capability analysis, ANOVA, multivariate) to monitor and improve product performance and yield.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control principles to monitor and control process variability.
  • Lead or participate in issue-resolution and process-improvement projects using lean methodologies.
  • Compile reports and present findings to engineering teams and stakeholders.

Required skills and attributes for candidates.

Must-have:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Coursework or experience in analog, digital, or RF circuit design.
  • Familiarity with scripting or data languages such as SQL, Python, R, or JSL.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with effective written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ADS, Cadence tools, Spotfire, or JMP.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Minimum GPA of 3.0 specified for applicants.
