Product Engineering Coordinator
Role Summary
Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from early silicon through production release. Serve as the operational lead for program schedules, material shipments, BOM and lifecycle management, and program documentation while working with Product Engineering, Packaging, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically expects 3β6 years of relevant experience in semiconductor NPI program coordination, supply planning, or manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on program planning, supply/logistics coordination, product lifecycle administration, and documentation for NPI projects.
- Develop and maintain NPI program schedules; track milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans using Smartsheet or equivalent.
- Publish regular program status updates and coordinate program review meetings with clear action items and owners.
- Coordinate internal sample movements, wafer fab lot shipments, OSAT bring-up/buyoff, and package build activities to meet program timelines.
- Create and manage purchase orders for masks, wafers, corner lots, and assembly tooling; work with foundry and supply chain to secure lead times and priorities.
- Create and maintain part numbers, BOMs, routings, and ensure BOM alignment with ECOs and design revisions.
- Prepare and manage NPI product release documentation and support lifecycle status transitions (NPI, active, EOL) and obsolescence activities.
- Coordinate export control (ECCN) assessments, SAP purchase requests/reservations, JIRA wafer-configuration tickets, wafer map packages, and SBL/SYL limit submissions.
- Prepare and issue Product Change Notifications (PCNs), waivers, and other customer/internal communications as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and attributes for immediate contribution.
- 3β6 years of experience in semiconductor NPI program coordination, supply planning, or manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex program schedules with multiple cross-functional dependencies.
- Working knowledge of BOM structures, ECO processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; experience with project-tracking tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, risk tracking/mitigation, and follow-through on actions.
- Ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary, global teams and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable preparing stakeholder reports and presentations.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with wafer fab/assembly/test/OSAT logistics, export control (ECCN) processes, SAP experience, PCN/waiver preparation, and packaging coordination.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly accepts relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
