Job Title
Product Engineering Architect — Analog Chip Design
Role Summary
Lead product strategy and technical direction for analog/custom IC Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions. Work with engineering, product, sales, and customer-facing teams to define requirements and deliver tools that improve semiconductor design workflows.
Located in Bangalore with a hybrid work model; role focuses on product leadership, customer engagement, and integration of automation/AI into design flows.
Experience Level
Senior — expects extensive professional experience. The team seeks a seasoned product leader with deep domain experience in semiconductor design or EDA (senior-level responsibility and leadership).
Responsibilities
The role combines product strategy, technical leadership, and customer-facing activities to deliver production-grade EDA solutions for analog and mixed-signal design.
- Define product strategy, roadmap, and requirements for analog/custom IC EDA tools.
- Drive technical direction and prioritize features that increase engineering productivity and product adoption.
- Integrate automation, AI/ML techniques, and generative approaches into engineering workflows.
- Collaborate directly with customers to gather requirements, validate solutions, and champion adoption.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, sales, support) to deliver and ship products.
- Represent the product externally and internally; communicate roadmap, trade-offs, and customer value.
- Mentor and influence engineers and product teams to execute on strategy and delivery.
Requirements
Core qualifications and technical skills required to succeed in this product leadership role.
Must-have:
- Extensive experience leading product development or technical programs in semiconductor design, EDA, or closely related domains.
- Demonstrated record of defining and delivering impactful software or workflow solutions used in production semiconductor design flows.
- Proven ability to apply automation and AI/ML methods to engineering workflows and toolchains.
- Deep understanding of one or more of: analog & custom IC design, standard-cell design and optimization, physical implementation, design migration/reuse, or physical verification/extraction/simulation workflows.
- Strong customer engagement, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on familiarity with circuit simulation (SPICE), analog verification flows, DRC/LVS, parasitic extraction, and OpenAccess-based environments.
- Experience with commercial EDA platforms (for example, Cadence Virtuoso) and production semiconductor toolchains.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
