Job Title

Product Engineer

Role Summary

Work on product engineering for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits used in Automotive and Industrial markets. The role focuses on device evaluation, characterization, and production release activities while collaborating with design, test, manufacturing, quality, and reliability teams.

Based in Melaka, you will support new product development, qualification, and mature-product yield and quality improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career. Minimum 2 years of relevant product engineering or semiconductor industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include engineering evaluation, characterization, and cross-functional support for semiconductor products.

  • Develop and test analog amplifiers, temperature sensors, sensor-based AFEs, and application-specific signal-processing ICs.
  • Design bench evaluation PCBs and create characterization/bench automation programs.
  • Perform evaluation, debug, and characterization to verify product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Work with failure analysis to identify root causes of reliability and qualification failures.
  • Support process and package technology development for new product qualification.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing to address product quality, yield, and cost issues for mature products, including product spins and derivatives.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Minimum 2 years of relevant product engineering or semiconductor-related experience.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with bench validation, device characterization, and failure analysis.
  • Must-have: Hands-on lab and debug experience with analog, mixed-signal, or digital circuits and standard lab equipment.
  • Must-have: Experience or understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flow and production release activities.
  • Must-have: Automation and data-analysis skills, including programming for bench automation and familiarity with statistics for characterization and yield analysis.
  • Must-have: Effective communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Project management and execution mindset; prior experience working with global manufacturing sites.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field. Cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 or higher specified.
