Product Engineer / Design Evaluation

Role Summary

Entry-level product engineer on the RF transceiver product team responsible for taking silicon and embedded software from definition through production release. Works with design, test, applications, software and marketing to evaluate, verify and release mixed-signal transceiver products.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” new graduate / early career (graduate job). Typically 0–2 years of hands-on industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include system-level evaluation, verification, and release activities across hardware, firmware and software for RF transceiver products.

  • Serve as central interface among design, test, application, software and marketing teams during product development and release.
  • Evaluate new silicon and software; identify, simulate and lead system solutions for transceiver products.
  • Verify and release embedded software for mixed-signal systems; develop automated verification test benches (Python).
  • Verify digital, DSP and analog features and perform RF measurements.
  • Analyze measurement data and resolve product issues with applications and customers; participate in customer visits as needed.
  • Support pre-silicon system emulation and pre/post tape-out verification.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools and behaviours for the role.

  • Knowledge of circuits: RF, analog, digital, ADCs/DACs, or high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Familiarity with bench test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
  • Experience or ability to write and maintain verification code (Python preferred; MATLAB or C/C++/C# acceptable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to measurement data quality.
  • Good time-management and multi-tasking abilities; effective written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented, able to work in multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or equivalent relevant experience. Coursework or exposure expected in two or more of: Analog Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, Digital Communications, RF Systems, RF Circuits. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
