Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities across NPI, transfer, and volume production:
- Lead NPI and product transfers; qualify and ramp products at contract manufacturing sites.
- Own manufacturing readiness, BOM accuracy, change control, and QMS compliance.
- Drive product yield, quality, reliability, cost, cycle time, and throughput improvements.
- Analyze manufacturing test results and ensure compliance to specifications.
- Lead debug and failure analysis for yield excursions, test failures, and field returns; implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, process engineering, quality, and operations to ensure DFM and qualification testing.
- Prepare product and process reports; track trends and KPIs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 5+ years experience in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing.
- Direct experience with 800G and 1.6T transceiver products.
- Experience supporting NPI, process and yield qualification, and manufacturing transfers at contract manufacturers.
- Technical depth in manufacturing BOMs, yield analysis, SPC, data analysis, and root-cause problem solving.
- Hands-on debug, failure analysis, and FA expertise for optical transceiver products.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and qualification testing processes.
- Ability to work with geographically distributed cross-functional teams and to travel internationally.
- Strong English communication and presentation skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with optical assembly processes: wire bond, die bond, active optical alignment, burn-in, and product testing.
