Role Summary

Join the Veloce emulation and prototyping team to define, promote, and deploy interface solutions for hardware‑assisted acceleration. Work with semiconductor and system customers on pre‑ and post‑silicon validation, verification, and software bring‑up of complex SoC and FPGA designs.

The role combines customer engineering, solution development, and technical enablement to drive adoption of Siemens EDA emulation/prototyping technologies.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical background: Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hands‑on customer engineering, solution development, and technical enablement.

  • Assist Application Engineers and customers with integration and debugging of interface solutions in hardware‑assisted verification environments.
  • Create and support example designs and test software (QEMU‑based examples commonly used).
  • Develop and deliver technical training and presentations for Siemens field teams and customers.
  • Drive customer adoption of Veloce emulation and prototyping technologies through onsite technical engagement.
  • Provide technical customer support and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and product development teams to communicate customer requirements and product feedback.
  • Contribute to multi‑product, multi‑platform solution design and implementation.
  • Prepare and present technical papers and conference materials for customers and technical forums.
  • Work independently on complex technical projects with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Must‑have technical skills and experience.

  • Familiarity with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with UVM‑based or SystemC‑based verification environments.
  • Understanding of industry interface protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, AMBA variants, or memory interface protocols.
  • Hands‑on debugging and integration experience in hardware‑assisted verification or emulation environments.

Nice‑to‑have:

  • Experience with memory interface protocols (DDR5, LPDDR5/6, HBM3/4, SPI NOR/NAND).
  • Experience with the DDR PHY Interface (DFI).
  • Previous customer‑facing experience such as an Application Engineer role at an emulation or prototyping provider.

Education Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. No specific field of study was specified in the posting; candidates typically have electrical/computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent technical backgrounds.
